| Radiator World FAQ - What additional charges do I have to pay?
- None! The price you see on the page after selecting your radiator is the price you pay. Prices shown include VAT and in most cases next working day delivery, there are exceptions to the free delivery. Full details of delivery exceptions can be found here. We do make any surcharges for cerdit card use.
- What Are Fuel Types?
Central Heating Only - When a radiator displays the
icon the radiator must be connected to a central heating system. Electric and dual fuel options are not available on these products. Electric Only - When a radiator displays the
icon the radiator must be connected to an electricity supply. Central Heating and dual fuel options are not available on these products. Dual Fuel - When a radiator displays the
icon the radiator can be use with a central heating system, electricity or both. An optional electric element can be purchased with this item that can keep the radiator warm at times when the conventional central heating is not working, typically during the summer months. - What is 304 Grade Stainless Steel?
- Grade 304 stainless steel is type of stainless steel commonly used in the manufacture of radiators, A full description of 304 Grade can be found here
- Do I require any additional items with my radiator?
- All our radiators come complete with a mounting kit (brackets), a bleed valve and an end stop. This is everything you will require to replace an existing radiator. However for new installations you will require a pair of valves, the choice of valves is completely your own. We do have a selection of valves available to purchase from the Radiator Valves menu
- What are the different "pipe centres" and how do I calculate them?
Pipe centres are defined as the distance between the middles of the two pipes used to connect to the radiator. For different directions of the radiator ports the connected valves will have an effect on the overall distance. Check the 3 possibilities below - Ports on the outside of the radiator.
- Pipe centres in specifications table + 90mm. When using valves not supplied by us the 90mm may be different.
- Ports underneath
- Pipe centres as listed in radiator specifications table
- Port on the inside of the radiator.
- Pipe centres in specifications table - 90mm. When using valves not supplied by us the 90mm may be different.
- What type of valves do I require?
Valves come in straight, angled and corner types, the type of valve you require will depend upon the radiator you have decided upon and where your pipes are coming from - Ports on the outside of the radiator.
- For pipes coming from the floor order angled valves, for pipes coming from the wall order corner valves,although angled valves will also work.
- Ports underneath
- For pipes coming from the floor order straight valves, for pipes coming fom the wall order angled valves
- Ports on the inside of the radiator.
- For pipes coming from the floor or from the wall order angled valves
